The biggest fashion extravaganza of the country - Lakme Fashion Week is held at National Centre of Performing Arts at Nariman Point, Mumbai. With prominent desigers showcasing their collection with the primary objective of creating business relationships and facilitating a dialogue between designers, trade buyers and media. Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) is a joint initiative by Lakme, 'The leader and expert' in the beauty industry & IMG, the global leader in fashion weeks and event production.

LFW has been conceived and created with a vision to "Integrate India into the global fashion world and redefine the future of fashion". LFW is held twice every year, once at the showcasing of designers' Autumn/Winter Collection which is held in the month of March and again showcasing designers' Spring/summer collection in the month of September.

The participating designers showcase their Pret (ready-to-wear) and Diffusion (a line between ready-to-wear and couture) lines in Indian, Indo-Western and Western categories.
